Drainage Solutions

Lincoln Landscaping can help solve your drainage problems. Every property has its own unique drainage issues. A proper drainage system is crucial to keep water away from your house and out of your basement. We look at your downspouts, sump pump, and grade around your property to design the correct drainage solution to move water away from your home’s foundation. We can meet with you to solve your water problems. Give our office a call to schedule an appointment.

Drainage From Down Spouts
Lincoln Landscaping can bury your downspouts to get rain water further away from your home’s foundation. We use drain tile or PVC to move the water to an appropriate place in the yard or all the way to the street. This also eliminates the down spout extension, giving your landscape a cleaner look while functioning better than before.
Puddles in the Yard
An over-saturated yard not only kills sod, it creates muddy feet on pets and guests, tracking debris into the home. Puddles can also create mosquitoes and insect breeding grounds. Catch basins and grates can be used in the low spots to channel water away from the area.
Grading
Soil levels next to the foundation settle over time, allowing water to pool in these areas. This provides a path for water down your foundation wall. We can bring in soil to achieve positive drainage away from the house. Sometimes we also need to change the existing grade of the yard to allow the water to drain away from the property.
Channel Drains
Water on patios or driveways can be slippery and cause settling. Channel drains and grates move water to the street.
Dry Creek Beds & Rain Gardens
Other options to handle water include dry creek beds and rain gardens. Dry creek beds are drainage swales that channel the water where we want it to go while maintaining a natural appearance. Rain gardens can capture the water and allow it to soak into the ground instead of running off. We add water loving plants to give a nice aesthetic to the garden.
Rain Barrel Installation
Rain barrels are a great way to conserve one of our most valued resources, as well as save on your water bill. Your gutters are channeled into a large barrel for future use to water your landscape beds or garden. We always make sure to plan for the overflow from large volumes of rain during our installation.
