Jarrett Austin

Landscape Designer

Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture

Spending copious sums of time outside in his formative years- Jarrett has developed an adoration for plants, landscapes, and nature. Jarrett put his appreciation for landscape elements to use while exercising his more “left brained” skills and studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, graduating (virtually) in May 2020. Having experience in landscape maintenance and installation, designing was the next step in harvesting the fruits of his collegiate education. Jarrett is particularly interested in the relationships between microclimates, architecture, and the environment/ecology, and will use his expertise to have your landscape working for YOU! When not in school or working he enjoys movies, woodburning, hiking, camping, and exploring the wonders of the Midwest.

Ed Higgins

Maintenance Supervisor

City of Lincoln Licensed Arborist

Ed was born and raised in Nebraska, and enjoys the peacefulness that fishing, hunting and kayaking bring to him in his free time.  He has lived an adventurous life, having traveled the country by van on three occasions as well as teaching conversational English for a year at a private school in Guangzhou, China.

He attended the University of Nebraska, studying Psychology and English, but developed a deep interest in trees and plants while working for the Arbor Day Foundation’s member services team for seven years. During this time he answered numerous questions regarding tree planting and pruning, tree identification, disease and pest issues, and general horticultural questions related to planting bulbs. Ed also worked last season on Lincoln Landscaping’s landscape maintenance crew.

Ed will bring his knowledge, along with excellent customer service, to all of our mulch and maintenance clients.
